This is Fenix, and he’s captured the hearts of many! ❤️

We often get asked if he enjoys the snow and if he can “prance” in it… and the answer is a resounding YES! 🎉

But Fenix isn’t just any dog in the snow… he’s quite unique.

You see, Fenix has a condition called cerebella hypoplasia.

Understanding Fenix’s Condition

Cerebella hypoplasia is a neurological disorder that affects his balance and coordination.

Think of it like this: the part of his brain that controls movement developed a little differently.

He’s had this condition since he was born, but before you worry, it’s important to know that it doesn’t cause him any pain, and he has a full, happy life ahead of him! 😊

His loving family knew about his condition when they adopted him, showing that a little extra care can make all the difference.

While life might have been a bit tougher for Fenix as a young puppy, now at six years old, his neurological disorder really doesn’t hold him back.

In fact, it seems to bring even more joy and connection wherever he goes! 🥰

It’s truly inspiring to see his resilience and zest for life.

And you won’t believe what happens when he encounters snow…

Now, this is where things get really interesting! 🤩

Fenix can’t run like most dogs. Usually, he does a wobbly walk, or he can do this adorable “prance” that takes quite a bit of energy.

At home in sunny Southern California, he might be able to prance for about 15 minutes.

But when he goes to the snow, something incredible happens…

His endurance doesn’t just double or triple; it can go up to four times his usual amount! 🤯

He can keep going for almost an hour!

It’s like his internal battery suddenly gets a 400% boost!

It’s bizarre, his mom says, but absolutely wonderful!

Snow Adventures Focused on Fun!

They love taking Fenix to the snow at least once or twice a year, and these trips are entirely focused on him.

While his humans might enjoy skiing, Fenix isn’t allowed on the slopes.

So, they dedicate their time to letting him play, explore, and prance to his heart’s content in the snowy wonderland. 🏞️

They can’t wait to share their upcoming snow adventures with everyone!
