Please share with friends!

Oh my goodness, get ready for a cuteness overload!

Seriously, if you’re a dog person (and who isn’t, right? 😉), you are going to absolutely melt over this story…

Imagine a warm, sunny valley, rolling hills, and fluffy sheep…

Sounds idyllic, doesn’t it?

Well, in this little slice of paradise, there’s a bustling ranch, and on that ranch, a super-star herding dog named Bleed…

But Bleed isn’t just any herding dog anymore…

She’s a mom now!

And her brand new flock?

Six absolutely adorable Border Collie puppies!

Get ready to smile… because in this video from Animal Planet (video at bottom of this article) these little ones are about to embark on their herding journey! 🐾

Talk about a full house!

Bleed, this amazing working farm dog, suddenly has six little pups under her paw…

Four girls and two boys, to be exact!

And those boys?

Well, they’re already showing their true Border Collie colors…

Meet Shep and Fly, two brothers who are just bursting with that herding instinct…

Even as tiny pups, Shep looks like he’s trying to herd his own siblings! 😂

It’s like, “Okay, everyone in line! Mom’s orders!”

But hold on… there’s another contender for top dog in the family…

Fly, Shep’s brother, is just as eager to be in charge!

These two are already playfully jostling for the best spot, the prime position…

Sibling rivalry, Border Collie style, starts super young, it seems!

Of course, with two little pups trying to assert their dominance, things can get a tad chaotic…

Shep and Fly’s little power struggle for the best spot doesn’t go unnoticed by mom, Bleed…

And like any good momma dog, she steps in to restore order…

Bleed, with all her veteran herding skills, quickly demonstrates who’s really in charge of the roundup!

It’s like, “Boys, boys, settle down! Mom’s got this!”

Even for a seasoned pro like Bleed, though, wrangling six wiggly, squirmy, utterly adorable Collie pups is no walk in the park!

Fast forward a bit, and those pups are growing up fast!

At five weeks old, it’s time for a big adventure…

Their first taste of real farm life!

The sun is shining, the sky is blue, it’s the perfect day for exploration and learning…

Because these aren’t just any puppies, remember…

They’re future herding dogs!

So, what’s on the agenda for today?

Witnessing a herding expert in action!

Time to learn from the best…

Dad’s Herding Masterclass! 👨‍🏫

Enter Rain, the pups’ dad, and a true herding pro.

Rain is about to give these little ones a masterclass in the art of herding…

And it’s quite a sight to behold!

Rain moves with incredible skill, low to the ground, almost like a stalking cat…

He’s got that intense “herder’s stare,” you know, “the eye,” they call it…

That powerful gaze that helps control and corral livestock…

The pups are absolutely captivated!

Rain’s smooth, masterful moves seem to have earned him a tiny fan club already!

But Dad’s not just showing off…

He has a very important introduction to make…

Meeting Lulu the Lamb! 🐑💖

Time to meet someone crucial to a herding dog’s job…

Lulu the lamb!

And Lulu is a bit of a special case…

She’s described as the “black sheep” in more ways than one!

Poor Lulu doesn’t really have any friends on the farm, and she’s feeling a little lonely…

So, when she spots six potential new buddies, who happen to look a lot like her (well, in a fluffy, four-legged kind of way 😉)…

Lulu can barely contain her excitement!

She’s practically bouncing with joy at the sight of these potential playmates!

But how do Shep and Fly react to this enthusiastic little lamb?

Well… the rival brothers aren’t quite as bold as Lulu might have hoped…

In fact, Shep, who was so eager to be top dog just moments ago, suddenly looks a little… sheepish! 😂

Get it? Sheepish? Okay, I’ll stop…

And Fly?

Well, his moment of herding heroism?

It doesn’t last long at all!

It seems these future shepherding dogs still have a few things to learn…

Like, maybe who’s supposed to herd who! 😜

Chicken Chaos! 🐔😂

Fast forward to six weeks old, and these Border Collie pups are on the verge of a working dog rite of passage!

Dad, Rain, is leading his litter to meet their first flock…

And what flock is that?

Well, every rookie herder has to start somewhere, right?

And for these pups, that “somewhere” is… chickens! 🐔🐔🐔

With Dad looking on, Shep and Fly, those ever-competitive brothers, now have even more reason to try and outdo each other!

Shep, in his eagerness to impress, leads the charge…

But instead of rounding up the roosters, Shep just ends up ruffling their feathers! 🤣

The result?

One very startled herding dog running for cover!

Next up, it’s Fly’s turn to shine…

But alas, the flock ends up showing him who really rules the roost!

It seems today, at least, there’s nothing but chickens in this particular camp!

Lulu’s Still Looking for a Friend! 🥺

Just when it seems like herding chickens isn’t quite the Border Collies’ forte…

Lulu shows up!

Ever the curious and excitable lamb, she wants to see what all the commotion is about…

Still on the lookout for a playmate, Lulu wonders… could these feathered critters be friends?

Sadly, the fowl say a resounding no!

So, with most of the flock (and the shepherds!) in retreat, it looks like Lulu is still the lone lamb on this ranch…

Poor Lulu! Don’t worry, Lulu, your friends are coming!

Back at the Border Collies’ home on the range, those eight-week-old pups are getting big enough to explore the ranch all on their own!

And what do they discover?

Hearing a familiar sound, they stumble upon… Lulu the Lamb!

And guess what? Lulu, in a super-friendly lamby way, invites the pups to come visit!

After a couple more weeks of growing courage (and maybe realizing chickens aren’t that fun to herd 😉), Shep and Fly, those brave Border Collie boys, decide to take her up on her offer!

Summit of Fun! ⛰️🐶🐑

Lulu, not having many friends her size on the ranch, has a favorite hangout…

She likes to get up high!

Closer to the “farms other beasts,” as the video says…

And for the low-riding pups, it sure looks like fun being up there!

Shep, ever the eager one, tries to get up first!

With Fly not far behind, of course!

But here’s the heartwarming part…

Once they both conquer the “summit,” the Collie brothers put their rivalry aside!

And there they are, shepherds and sheep, sharing the best seat on the ranch!

How sweet is that?! 🥰

So there you have it!

The adorable beginnings of some future herding superstars!

These baby Border Collies have a lot to learn, but one thing is clear…

They’ve got the spirit, the energy, and maybe, just maybe, they’re starting to learn that friendship is even better than rivalry…

Don’t you think? 😊

And be sure to share this with any dog lovers you know!

They need this dose of puppy cuteness in their lives! 💖💖💖
